Zero-Tolerance Policy on CSAE
Aspirenet has a strict zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Section 1
App Overview & Intended Audience
Aspirenet is a professional networking and collaboration platform that connects ambitious individuals to form teams, discover events, and manage collaborative projects. It is exclusively designed and intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.
Platform Details
- App Name: Aspirenet
- Category: Professional Networking / Social Collaboration
- Minimum Age: 18 years old (strictly enforced)
- Platforms: Android (Google Play), iOS (App Store)
- Target Audience: Working adults and aspiring professionals
- Content Rating: Intended for adults 18+
- User-Generated Content: Text messages, voice messages, images, file attachments, profile information, events, and tasks
Not Directed at Children
Aspirenet is not designed for, marketed to, or intended for children under the age of 18. The app enforces this restriction technically during account registration and onboarding.
Section 2
Age Verification & Enforcement
Aspirenet enforces a minimum age of 18 years through a mandatory age verification step embedded in the onboarding flow. This gate is non-bypassable — no user can complete account setup without confirming they meet the age requirement.
How Age Verification Works
- During onboarding, a mandatory Date of Birth screen is presented before any profile creation can proceed.
- Users select their date of birth using a native date picker.
- The app calculates age in real-time: if the entered date of birth results in an age below 18, the “Continue” button is replaced with a prominent red warning banner reading “You must be 18 or older to continue using our services.”
- The “Continue” action remains disabled until the user selects a compliant date of birth.
Limitation & Mitigation
Age verification relies on self-reported date of birth, as is standard for consumer apps. Aspirenet does not currently implement third-party identity verification. As a mitigation, if Aspirenet becomes aware that a user is under 18, the account will be immediately suspended and data deleted per our Children's Privacy policy.
Section 3
CSAE Prohibition & Zero-Tolerance Policy
Aspirenet explicitly prohibits all content and behaviour that constitutes or facilitates child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This prohibition is absolute and admits no exceptions.
Prohibited Content & Behaviour — Strictly Forbidden
The following are categorically prohibited on Aspirenet and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement.
Prohibited Content
- Any image, video, audio, or text that sexually depicts, exploits, or abuses minors (CSAM — Child Sexual Abuse Material)
- Content that grooms, solicits, or lures minors for sexual purposes
- Sharing, distributing, or linking to CSAM or CSAE material
- Any communication intended to facilitate offline sexual contact with a minor
- Content that normalises, glorifies, or promotes the sexual exploitation of children
- Impersonating an adult to solicit minors
Response Protocol
- Immediate account suspension upon detection or credible report of CSAE content, pending investigation.
- Any identified Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) will be removed immediately and reported to Indian law-enforcement authorities through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 67B), the IT Intermediary Guidelines Rules, 2021, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
- Evidence is preserved and made available to law enforcement on lawful request.
- Confirmed accounts are permanently banned with no right of appeal.
- All related data is preserved for law enforcement and then deleted from production systems.
Google Play CSAE Policy Alignment
This policy is developed in alignment with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and the Developer Programme Policy prohibition on CSAE. Aspirenet does not permit any app content or developer behaviour that sexually exploits children.
Section 4
Content Moderation & Reporting Mechanisms
Aspirenet maintains systems for users and third parties to report harmful content, and commits to reviewing and actioning reports in a timely manner.
User Reporting
- Users can contact the safety team directly at aspirenetcontact@gmail.com to report abuse, CSAE content, or any harmful behaviour.
- Reports are reviewed by the Aspirenet safety team.
- Reporters can remain anonymous if requested.
- Users are encouraged to report any interaction that makes them feel unsafe, regardless of whether it explicitly violates policy.
Platform Controls
- Message soft-delete: Users can delete their own messages; deleted content is removed from display immediately.
- Account deletion: Users can permanently delete their accounts, which triggers deletion of all associated profile data and messages within 30 days.
- Connection controls: Users can reject connection requests (with a 24-hour cooldown) and remove existing connections.
- Conversation deletion: Private conversations are auto-deleted when a connection is severed.
- File size limits: Attachments are capped at 25 MB; only standard media types (images, PDFs, audio, documents) are permitted.
In-App Reporting UI — Roadmap Item
In-app “Report User” and “Block User” buttons with dedicated UI flows are on the near-term product roadmap. Until these are live, all reports are handled via email at aspirenetcontact@gmail.com with the same SLA and escalation procedures.
Section 5
Children's Privacy
Aspirenet does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Our privacy practices with respect to children are as follows.
No Knowing Collection from Minors
- The app explicitly enforces an 18+ minimum age during onboarding.
- Registration requires a date of birth confirming the user is at least 18.
- No data is collected from users who fail the age verification step — the registration flow terminates.
- Aspirenet does not knowingly target advertising or content at children.
- No in-app purchases, loot boxes, or engagement mechanics designed to appeal to children are present.
If a Minor's Data Is Discovered
- If Aspirenet becomes aware that a user under 18 has provided personal information, all data associated with that account will be immediately and permanently deleted.
- Parents or guardians who believe their child has created an account should contact aspirenetcontact@gmail.com immediately.
- Upon receiving such a report, Aspirenet will verify and act within a reasonable timeframe (target: 72 hours for initial response).
- This process is documented in Section 7 of Aspirenet's in-app Privacy Policy.
Section 6
User Controls & Account Safety
Aspirenet provides users with meaningful controls over their data, connections, and account lifecycle.
Account Management
- Account deletion: Available directly in the Settings screen. Users must type “confirm” to prevent accidental deletion. Triggers permanent deletion of profile, connections, and message history.
- Two-Factor Authentication: Available for enhanced account security.
- Google Sign-In / Apple ID: Federated authentication options that avoid password creation entirely.
- Email verification: Required during sign-up via OTP.
Connection & Communication Controls
- Reject connections: Users can reject any incoming connection request with a 24-hour cooling-off period before the requester can re-apply.
- Remove connections: Accepted connections can be removed at any time; the associated private conversation is automatically deleted.
- Delete messages: Users can delete their own sent messages.
- Clear conversation history: Users can clear their local conversation history.
Privacy Controls
- Location: GPS coordinates are only fetched with explicit user permission and only when location features are actively used; no background tracking.
- Camera / Microphone / Photo Library: Requested at runtime only when the feature requires it; users can deny or revoke via device settings.
- Push notifications: Users may disable push notifications via device settings; tokens are invalidated when expired.
- Data portability & access: Users can request a copy of their data by contacting aspirenetcontact@gmail.com.
Section 7
Law Enforcement Cooperation
Aspirenet is committed to cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies in the investigation and prosecution of child exploitation offences.
Reporting Channel for Law Enforcement
- Authorized law enforcement agencies may contact Aspirenet regarding official requests at: aspirenetcontact@gmail.com
